The Breaking Free mission is to educate and provide services to women and girls who have been victims of abuse and commercial sexual exploitation (prostitution/sex trafficking) and need assistance escaping the violence in their lives. Breaking Free offers street outreach and intervention services and primarily draws upon female volunteers who have "broken free" to assist exploited women in the St. Paul/Minneapolis area. They also provide ongoing counseling, housing, job training and emotional support to victims of sexual exploitation.
Breaking Free was looking for the best and most affordable technology tool set - case management, donor and volunteer management software - all in one system. Without volunteers, Breaking Free could not do their important work. The efficient management and tracking of many trained volunteers remains a top priority, as Minnesota is ranked one of the top 13 states in the nation for highest incidence in recruitment of minors (FBI) for sexual exploitation.
