Thom Bishop

Thom Bishop is best known for his extraordinary songwriting. He has written songs that have been recorded by many artists including Bob Dylan, James Lee Stanley, Jim Post, Richie Havens, and Bonnie Koloc. In 1987, Bishop released a debut album of his own, Restless State of Grace, recorded under the Profile Records label.

Bishop’s second album, Feed Me a Dream, featuring the songs “Things We Said Today” and “I Built My Own Prison,” was released by Coyote Records in 1996. Bishop has also co-written a musical theater work, Book of the Night, and the musical score for the film, American Reel. He is also the winner of a Cable Ace Award.
