Kathy Murray Jones & Bill Jones
Kathy Murray Jones is lead singer and songwriter for famed Texas band Kathy & The Kilowatts. With husband Bill Jones on guitar, she has traveled Texas and the Southwest for over 20 years. The band has shared the bill with Koko Taylor, Bobby Bland, Albert King, Sam & Dave, Albert Collins, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Marcia Ball and others. Murray Jones received a Chain Award 2003 Song of the Year from the Australian Blues Music Association and was honored for her song, “Call Me Mrs. Blues,” recorded by the Kate Meehan Band. Murray Jones is also noted as a pioneer of the Austin 80’s blues music scene.
Bill Jones, aka Monsterjones, is a long-time Austin musician and purveyor of all things weird in Groovesville, TX. Jones is internationally known as the premier Monster Model Guru, and creator of the famed www.monsterjones.com.
