How are the winners selected?
There are three categories for the $5,000 USD award: Animal Rights and Environmental Protection, Health & Human Services and Arts & Literacy. A panel of judges comprised of nonprofit service providers will review all nominations and select the semi-finalists. From March 15th until April 15th at midnight, finalists (identities and locations will not be disclosed) will be posted on the Community TechKnowledge Facebook page, where the public will vote for their favorite in each category. The individual with the most votes from each of the 3 above mentioned categories will receive a $5,000 USD Thank You award from the CTK Foundation.
The Winter family will select the $1,500 USD winner of The Susan Lee Winter Award; and a blogger selected by the CTK Foundation will award the $1,000 USD Blogger's Choice Award to an individual from any of the above categories.
How are the winners announced?
The winners will be notified in early May 2012 and will be announced on the Community TechKnowledge (CTK) website and social media outlets and through the CTK mailing lists. All applicants must consent to a video interview for use by the CTK Foundation to promote the award program.
