AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nonprofits and their supporters were out in force last night at the CTK Foundation’s Heart & Soul Gala to honor this year’s recipients of the organization’s grant awards. The annual event, which was held at the Bob Bullock Texas History Museum, featured the Grammy Award-winning Original Blind Boys of Alabama performing an original song inspired by a poem written and submitted by Furniture Sharehouse, the winner of the 2013 Heart & Soul main award grant.
The CTK Foundation, in partnership with Connecting Up Australia, invited you to create a poem that reflected your mission to qualify for over $15,000 USD in grants and a song professionally produced inspired by the grand prize winner's poem. See the winning organizations and hear the song!
Over 1,500 organizations submitted beautiful poems inspired by their mission. See photos of the Award Gala, read all the selected poems, see interviews with the winners and listen to Bill Dillon sing the song inspired by the 1st Place Organization, Adoption Resources of Wisconsin.
