May 16th, 2003
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
AUSTIN, Texas (05/16/03) For the second consecutive year, Community TechKnowledge was named as a global finalist for the prestigious ASPire Awards given by CompTIA Software Services Groups (formerly the ASP Industry Consortium). Entering the competition in the Service Satisfaction category, the award spotlights CTK as the “best of the best” within the ASP industry for “achieving outstanding satisfaction through the use of Service Level Agreements.” Judging for the awards was performed by a global Independent Review Board (IRB), made up of organizations outside the ASP Industry Consortium member community including participants from IDC, Enterprise Management Associates, McKinsey & Co. (Paris location) and Gartner Dataquest.
In addition to the Service Satisfaction category, companies were invited to submit case studies under six additional headings that reflect the most important ASP trends as determined by industry experts. The remaining five categories for consideration in 2002 were: Delivery and Enablement for innovative service delivery modules that result in increased end-user productivity; Wireless for innovative use of wireless technology to make solutions more accessible and valuable to end-users; Integration for seamlessly integrated solutions that provide increased function and value for end-users; Management and Operations for well managed and supported services to assure users of high availability and reliability; and Security for creation and delivery of secure solutions that are well accepted by end-users.
Speaking about the award on behalf of CTK, President and CEO Kathryn Englehardt-Cronk said: “At CTK, we are well aware that our success as a company stems from a constant refining of our customer needs, preferences, and economics. Winning the ASPire Award for Service Satisfaction is especially gratifying because it is a visible symbol of our customer centric value that we try to keep in sharp focus each and every day.”

These companies saw a common need for promoting greater understanding of the fast emerging application service provider industry and for establishing guidelines for ASP business practices.
