Community TechKnowlege Wins 2001 Global ASP Award

September 25, 2001: Austin, Texas: Community TechKnowledge (CTK) has been selected as a finalist in the ASPire Awards given by CompTIA Software Services Groups (formerly the ASP Industry Consortium). Entering the competition in the Deliver and Enablement category, the award spotlights CTK as the “best of the best” within the ASP industry for “innovative service delivery modules that result in increased end-user productivity.”
In addition to the Delivery and Enablement category, companies were invited to submit case studies under five additional headings that reflect the most important ASP trends as determined by industry experts. The remaining five categories for consideration in 2001 were: Service Satisfaction for achieving outstanding customer satisfaction through the use of Service Level Agreements; Wireless for innovative use of wireless technology to make solutions more accessible and valuable to end-users; Integration for seamlessly integrated solutions that provide increased function and value for end-users; Management and Operations for well managed and supported services to assure users of high availability and reliability; and Security for creation and delivery of secure solutions that are well accepted by end-users. “The entrants in this year’s ASPIre Awards have all illustrated the outstanding value proposition presented by the ASP computing model,” noted Gopan Madathil, director of product management for Agilent Technologies, who chairs the ASPire Awards Committee. “In being named an ASPire Awards finalist, CTK has distinguished itself as among the very best in the ASP industry.”
The President/CEO of Community TechKnowledge, Kathryn Engelhardt-Cronk added: “We are extremely pleased to have received this worldwide recognition. While every person within our organization deserves credit for their hard work, we must also thank our customers who have enthusiastically embraced the many benefits of application service provisioning.”
Judging for the awards was performed by a global Independent Review Board (IRB), made up of organizations outside the ASP Industry Consortium member community including participants from IDC, Enterprise Management Associates, McKinsey & Co. (Paris location) and Gartner Dataquest.
