It is the policy of Community TechKnowledge, Inc. (CTK) that all personal identification data is confidential and shall not be unnecessarily accessed, reviewed or disclosed. It is CTK policy to comply with all applicable regulatory requirements for the processing of personal and sensitive data, including the European Union Data Protection Directive, the U.S. Commerce Department Safe Harbor Framework, The U.K. Data Protection Act of 1998, and the regulations promulgated pursuant to the U.S. Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996.
Community TechKnowledge plays an important role in the protection and privacy of personal identification data. Our customers rely on CTK to prevent destruction, loss, corruption, or unauthorized access to data they collect and store about service recipients. Data subjects rely on the privacy of personal identification data that CTK customers store and process with CTK systems.
CTK’s role in data protection and privacy is limited by its position as a data processor. CTK maintains online software and internet servers where data is stored, but does not collect, enter or disseminate data stored on CTK systems. CTK does not control username or password access to customer data because each customer administers username and password access for its own system.
CTK must occasionally access customer databases, however, it is CTK policy that such access is restricted to specific customer requests or other access necessitated by system maintenance and upgrades. Many responsibilities imposed by regulatory authorities are necessarily outside the scope of CTK’s limited role as a data processor and therefore fall to other parties, including CTK customers and their constituents.

CTK is prepared for any event with our robust backup systems. Your database is backed up in two separate physical locations by two separate mechanisms. We keep your data safely locked away at all times, and you can feel confident that your data will never be lost.
Safe Harbor regulations require reasonable precautions against loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction of personal information. CTK employs rigorous security systems to safeguard personal information, including physical and digital monitoring of servers, daily redundant data backups, secure socket layer technology with 128-bit encryption and encryption of data held on CTK servers. It is CTK’s policy to continue to improve its data protection systems to adopt technological advances to insure reasonable precautions against loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration or destruction of information.
